Leadership
The
Corps experience is often referred to as a leadership laboratory.
It is said to be a place where, as a cadet, your daily experiences
will train your body and mind for the challenges of the future.
The leadership structure of the Corps provides a means for all cadets
to participate in valuable leadership experiences. As early as their
sophomore year, cadets are called upon to learn leadership skills
in order to fulfill their responsibility of being the primary mentors
and teachers of the freshmen class. These sophomores use the skill
set that they acquired only a year earlier to influence the young,
new group of fish.
As
a freshman, one can learn valuable lessons in leadership through
the evaluation of the current outfit leadership and determining
the methods of leadership that they admire and want to take on when
it is their turn. As a junior and senior in the Corps, one has the
opportunity to participate in leadership positions that require
management and people skills that are so important in the business
world and military.

There is a saying that says, "The seniors lead the Corps, the juniors run the Corps, the sophomores train the Corps, and the freshmen are the Corps!
